Visit of the Turkish Carpet Union Delegation to Afghanistan’s Carpet Industry: Confirmation of the Superior Quality of Sakhizada Uzbek Carpets

In a significant event in the carpet industry, Ahmad Diler, the President of the Turkish Carpet Union, along with his deputy and a team of members from the Turkish Hand-Woven Carpet Union, visited Afghanistan’s carpet industry. This delegation aimed to assess the quality and production levels of Afghan carpets, with a particular focus on the products of, Sakhizada Uzbek Company , one of the largest producers of high-quality carpets in Afghanistan.

During this visit, MR. Diler and his team observed the process of producing Afghan hand-woven carpets and witnessed the high quality of these products firsthand. This experience was unexpected for them, as they had previously purchased Afghan hand-woven carpets from Pakistan, where these products were marketed under Pakistan’s name.

Other members of the delegation were also impressed by the beauty and quality of the carpets produced by Sakhizada and expressed their astonishment at how Afghanistan, despite various challenges, has managed to produce such high-quality and entirely natural carpets. They clearly noted that the quality and artistry involved in producing these carpets exceeded their expectations.

Ahmad Diler emphasized that this visit could serve as a turning point for further cooperation between Afghanistan’s carpet industry and Turkey. He highlighted the importance of establishing trade and cultural relations between the two countries in the carpet sector and introduced Sakhizada Uzbek as a model in this regard.

This visit not only showcases the high quality of Afghan carpets but also heralds a bright future for the hand-woven carpet industry in the country. Given Diler’s emphasis on the advancement of Afghanistan’s carpet industry and the desire for increased collaboration, it appears that this industry is on a path of growth and prosperity.

Sakhizada Uzbek, relying on local artistry and skills, currently aims to expand its markets and further introduce high-quality Afghan carpets to the world. This event brings hope for a brighter future for Afghanistan’s carpet industry.

Additionally, the head of the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish Carpet Union, with both sides expressing their commitment to enhancing relations and signalling a green light for future collaborations
